How to change Maya 2011 – startup image

When Maya 2011 starting, it looking for startup splash screen
or startup image MayaStartupImage.png in following directories:

  • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2011\icons\MayaStartupImage.png
  • All directories in system PATH variable ( i don’t understand why )
  • And then in Maya enviroment and system enviroment variable XBMLANGPATH
    • Here are some startup arguments / flags / switches for Maya 2011 which are un-documented.

  • maya.exe -nosplash
    - Don’t check directories for Maya startup image ( startup image will not be displayed ).
  • maya.exe -style [ plastique | cleanlooks | motif | cde ]
